Ed did an amazing job capturing the personality of my dog KayCi. She is not the social type so I just emailed him some photos of her. I love his style of art and was so happy with the final piece. I even fell in love with his sketch and got it as well. I am a picky customer and I couldn’t be happier. Ed was great to work with!

Ed created a fantastic pencil drawing of our Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier “Murphy”. I gave the drawing to my wife as a present for mother’s day and she said it was one of the best gifts she has ever received. The pencil drawing hangs in a prominent place in our home and we have received many wonderful comments on Ed’s work. One of the most amazing thing about the whole process was how Ed was able to really capture Murphy and his spirit working from a limited number of digital photos. This original work will be something our family will always have. I highly recommend Ed and his work. I have seen a number of his other pet portraits through Facebook and they were all equally impressive.

I have seen hundreds of dog artists over my thirty years of showing dogs but after seeing Ed Hall’s work, I knew he was the only person I could trust to immortalize my beloved dog. He was a true pleasure to work with and I could not be happier with the result. Ed has a special talent for capturing not only the personality of the dog but also the character and details of what makes each dog special. He also has a special knack of putting them in a perfect background, creating not just a tribute to your best friend but a true piece of artwork.

Ed did an amazing job on the black and white portrait of our Rat Terrier, Captain. We were very impressed with Ed’s process, start to finish. He not only researched and familiarized himself with the breed, but completed multiple sketch studies before selecting a pose and starting our portrait. Ed’s attention to detail is what makes his work so impressive. Our favorite details are how he perfectly captured the velvety fur of Captain’s ears and his swirled fur on his chest - tiny things only his owners would notice! The love of a pet is something that can’t easily be put on paper, but with this, we’ll always have a perfect memory of our family member. We would work with Ed again in a heartbeat!

“Ed did an amazing job using pastels to draw our 18 month old Labrador-Josie!  He did it all by using only photos that we had sent to him. We had been looking for someone to do a portrait of our puppy for several months. We thought we’d send an email to Ed thinking he would say he was really busy, or it would be months before he could get to our request. To our surprise Ed immediately responded and we were on our way to this wonderful portrait. Such a great process!”
